Story of Hope and Love... It was December 30, 2014, the most awaited moment of my life, that I will walk on the aisle bringing the bunch of sweet red roses while wearing my glittering white long dress going to the altar to utter my covenant of love to the very special person that I chose to live forever. On that same day, it was morning at 7:30. I woke up to prepare my stuffs for that big day, I told John that there was a typhoon and it is signal no. 2 in Negros Occidental, then I started to worry if the that most awaited will not happen. Text and in calls caused me to lose hope, depression and anxiety. I asked John John what to do because people are kept asking and telling that they cant come because of typhoon. John said: relax lang its to early to decide...jus tell them na madayon ang kasal. Pano kung indi maghulaw ang ulan? He answered, mahulaw na...relax. Hearing that words from him lessen the burden of my worries that moment. John called up the front desk of the hotel if what is going on about the weather, that was 8 oclock in the morning. He told me to wait for the weather update in 4 hours. It was past 9 when he called up again he front desk, then he told me wala na ulan I hurried up to open the window to see whats going on outside the hotel. I was surprised that the rain stopped. Then we went down to have our breakfast, while eating, texts and in calls didnt stop of asking about our wedding. Suddenly, drops of tears fell down from my eyes because of worries. I felt that the circumstances wont allow us to make this very special day to happen. I told John to go back to our room for a rest because of a heavy burden I carried in my heart. John kept me calm and gave a spark of hope. He said, indi na ni mag ulan after 4 hours...pati lng bala...SDRRM focal person ko bala. It was 10 am, I begun to see the sky a little bit clear and saw hope. John and I begun to prepare for the big day, we were surprised that our friends called and texted us telling us that they are ready for that big day and they cant afford to cancel their commitment. My friend, April Empio, texted me, Tampa-un taka karon Day, duha lng ka oras tulog namon para lng sa decoration sg kasal mo, kalma lng madayon na, everything happens for a reason kg ready na kami di ya, all set na Then I told my self, despite of the devils advocate, prayer is more powerful than anything. Typhoon cant stop my wedding day. If typhoon can move houses and trees prayers can move mountains. Family and relatives started to come at the hotel carrying their smiles of hope. At 2 pm, few steps from the bridal car where I was in I will able to reach the altar. Then the lovely music started to set visitors, family and friends to listen and see me. While walking down the aisle, I felt like was in heaven. Smoke, flowers, lighted candles, twinkling eyes, sweet smiles and angelic voice of John accompanied by a romantic music of violin and piano welcomed me as I walk closer to the altar and to say I DO. Indeed, things happened for a reason...nothing is impossible through prayers and with the support of family, relatives and friends, especially to April Empio and the JERCJAM. from the bottom of my heart, Thank you Christine and John.
