Strength for Gods People [Wednesday, August 20] by Brenda K. “See a season now when the onslaughts against the people of God shall diminish, and as they face the giants of the land, so shall I give strength to their minds and shall envelop them with peace. It is even yours this day, says the Lord.” Prophetic Scripture: The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace (Psalms 29:11). If you have ever been standing in faith for a breakthrough, there are those times when you feel emotional pressure to quit. Of course, we cannot give up and we do need to keep standing. Ephesians 6:13 says, “…having done all, to stand.” However, the Lord knows when our minds and bodies feel weakened. It reminds us again that we are entirely dependent upon Him. While we need to build faith for breakthrough, it isn’t only about our faith-building abilities. It’s also about our simple trust that the Lord is there to help strengthen us so we can keep standing. In Psalms, David talked about many days in his life when things didn’t look so good, but his faith always came back to the fact that God was there keeping him strong. On those difficult days when you want to fall apart, the Lord helps make up for your weak moments. Psalms 29:11 says He gives strength to His people and will bless them with peace. When you don’t feel you have any strength, God Himself provides the strength and envelopes you in peace. Prayer: Lord, I ask You for an impartation of Your strength today. Envelop me with peace that all shall be well and cause me to rest in You and know that every attack shall end in victory. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
