Strong Women Rise: Autumn Nash The Beginning: October 22nd, 1999: AUTUMN...AUTUMN!!! The cries of middle aged woman Ann Brooks rings through a two story home, as she puts the finishing touches on a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. AUTUMN, COME DOWN HERE, YOURE FOOD IS GETTING COLD! Ann places the cake on an oak table, and looks behind her, pondering the whereabouts of the proclaimed subject at hand, 19 year old Autumn Brooks. Autumn was adopted by Ann at the age of five, and the two have lived in isolation since that time. As Ann continues calling Autumn, soon her patience grows thin and she marches upstairs to look for Autumn. Ann uses her hands as guides through the pitch dark upper floor of her home, bumping into items as she tries to find her daughter. Autumn, this is no time for games, stop fooling around. Ann soon comes across the room of Autumn, she knocks twice to no answer so she uses a key to open the door. Ann opens the door and on the floor she sees several newspaper cutouts scattered around, several pictures cut apart. Ann sees one document that catches her eye, a dingy piece of paper that Ann soon realizes is a birth certificate: [Child: Autumn Nash Parents: Winter Nash, John Nash October 22: 1979] Anns face turns white as milk as Autumn suddenly appears out of her closet wearing a put together Halloween mask, and holding a butcher knife. Ann takes off like a bat in the midnight sky, as Autumn follows close behind stabbing Ann twice in her left kidney, and once in the ribs, throwing her over the second story banister. Autumn takes off the mask to admire her work as she unfolds a newspaper article that reads : WANTED: Winter Nash, Dead Or Alive, last seen in Death Valley California. A tear comes down Autumns left cheek as she stares at the picture of her long lost mother, knowing she could still be out there. As Autumn packs her bags to take off, from downstairs she can hear sirens, as before Ann died she used her lifeline alert to alert 911, and they arrived almost immediately..
