Student Quotes on Financial Aid Needed! As you know, financial aid has dominated higher education policy conversations on Capitol Hill in recent months. Although TRIO programs are required to assist students and families in making sound financial aid choices and developing financial literacy skills, this fact remains unknown. In order to remedy this situation, Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) is crafting specific advocacy materials that outline the way in which our programs assist students with gaining access to financial aid options and paying for college. Therefore, we want to hear from our alumni about how TRIO has positively affected their financial decisions. We will be forwarding your information to COE so that your testimonies will become a part of the larger TRiO alumni community. Selected statements will be featured in the COEs advocacy materials on Capitol Hill. Submissions are due by this Friday July 18, 2014 12 noon.
