Students in the Westlake High School Technology & Engineering Department participated in the 14th annual Engineering Career Day sponsored by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company on Saturday, hosted on the campus of the University of Akron. Students got to try their hand at various engineering tasks led by representatives from over 50 local businesses and universities. The WHS TechMates team participating in the event included Hon Kwok, Christopher Stone, Nai-Ning Kuo, Mingda Chen, Matt Schnabel, David Eppele, John Willi, and Riley Bender. A large group hands-on activity challenged students to apply their engineering know-how to the solution of a problem, while working together as a team.
