Stupas are Buddhist monuments, which express the nature of mind in - TopicsExpress

Stupas are Buddhist monuments, which express the nature of mind in a perfect way. In manifold ways, they symbolise not only the Buddha state “body, speech and mind inseparable” but also the entire path through the ten Bodhisattva levels until full enlightenment and the whole universe. The stupa is a structure, which shows the harmony and perfection of all universal principles and invites one to partake in the development and endless possibilities of the human mind. Basically one can find descriptions of eight different types of stupas in the sutras. They refer to important events in the life of Buddha: e.g. the Lotus Stupa (birth), the Stupa of Enlightenment (enlightenment), or the Parinirvana Stupa (death). Descriptions of the Kalachakra Stupa, a ninth and very special kind of stupa, can be found in the highest teachings Buddha ever gave: the non-dual Maha-Anuttarayoga tantra. Kalachakra, also called the “Wheel of Time,” has great protective power and is connected to the Shambala prophecies. Its placement at the southern tip of Europe will help us protect our freedom. This type of stupa is very rare, there are only five all over the world. One of them was build 1994 at the retreat place Karma Guen in Spain by Lama Lopon Tsechu Rinpoche.
