Stupid way of doing business - by threat and force. And even if you have to do a tit-for-tat, there are many things you can use to wake up the mainland Chinese, China being a producer-exporter of many things. Why do you have to choose one which hits at Chinese sensitivity? This threat has its origin in a racist mindset, the message being unmistakably if you dont buy our pineapple, we will make sure the Chinese here dont have mandarins for the next Chinese New Year.
