Sturge Moreland posted this.... Although I live in Southfield, a suburb of Detroit... I am still quite a Detroit advocate, and what goes on matters to me! The Media has sooooo distorted and mis- portrayed the city, its ridiculous! Yes, we are in a very dire, and complexed situation, however DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR AND SEE ON TELEVISION! Although there is blight, and a lot of abandonment of properties.. There are still neighborhoods of proud African Americans who protect and care for their property, raise children, attend church, have jobs, own business.... and yes cut their lawn and plant flowers and shrubs! Everyone is not a gangster or a hoodlum.... let me stop... It ticks me off talking about it!
