Sub-committees to overlook various disciplines of the cricket body : Bilal Habib, Sachnews Jammu Kashmir SRINAGAR: May 26 Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association has announced several sub-committees to overlook various disciplines of the premier cricket body of the State with a view to give boost to the sport. Dr Farooq Abdullah, in his capacity as President of the JKCA has announced a five-member Media and Publicity Sub Committee with Ranjit Kalra as its Chairman and Shahana Fatima as Media Manager. The other three members are, Rajesh Dhar, Vivek Sharma and Pradeep Dutta. Shahana Fatima is the first sports journalist of the State who has widely covered sports especially cricket across the State and outside. She has been covering cricket professionally and with a high degree of objectivity and commitment. Credited with vast experience, Shahana’s appointment as Media Manager is being seen as an effort to reach out to young cricketers and the fans through the medium of print and electronic media in a big way. The Hony General Secretary of JKCA M L Nehru will be the convenor and ex-officio Secretary of all the Sub Committees
