SubhanAllah! Me I cannot stop talking about how I am humbled by the people I meet, I guess thats the other side of my career that I love the most. A few days ago, I had to wait for something to arrive from Kampala I ended up having iftar in town at a local restaurant- I mean a really simple restaurant. MashAllah, its owned by a Muslim woman. Imagine this lady made a mini feast for me - an absolute stranger- to break my fast. She walked all the way back to her home to get me a praying mat insisting I pray there and then eat. She did not have much you could easily tell. She even delayed having her own iftar preparing mine....And all I wanted was a basic meal, but she topped that up with porridge, cassava katogo, greens, a whole jar of water...- as if I was a guest subhanAllah. Eh! I was so touched I did not know what to give her back in return. I was even embarrassed to give her the money I had for the meal. May Allah set bless her and grant her the best of places in this dunia and akhirah. Ameen.
