SubhanAllah, this is something that some scholars wont tell you because it will allow for those who follow them to differ with them. Just because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wassalam suggested something does not make it a Sunnah for everyone. There was a time and place for everything and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wassalam gave different advice to different people depending on the situation. You could pretty much guarantee that if Bareerah radhiAllahu Anha said what she said in todays society in response to advice from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wassalam some clowns would have accused her of Gustaakhi (disrespect of the Prophet). Our Deen is dynamic, it is not a list of dos and donts. It gives us overarching guidance on how to live as humans on this earth. It did not come to dictate every single action, thought or utterance. It provides us with a framework to follow and in doing so our actions, thoughts and utterances will be in compliance. The Deen is vast, it is not a single narrow minded, harsh and intolerant set of rules as some would have us believe and follow. May Allah (swt) grant us the correct understanding of his Deen. Ameen.
