Subject: tehreek-e-hurriyat Press Note (ENGLISH) Chairman Tehreek-hurriyat & APHC Syed Ali Geelani while addressing on telephone thousands of people taking part in funeral prayers of martyr Mohd Altaf Baba r/o Aglar Pakherpora who got martyred in an encounter at Yachgoch Keller paid glowing tributes to the said martyr. Geelani Sahab said that the best way to pay the homage to martyres is to carry their mission of independence for Islam to its logical end by continuing the the struggle for getting rid of Indian military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir on political level also. Geelani Sahab said the irony is this that on one side people take part in funeral prayers of these martyrs raising pro freedom slogans and on another side they participate in the gatherings and meetings of pro indian and anti movement people of the parties like NC,PDP,Congress and others who are the real murderers of these young warriors of our oppressed & suppressed nation. Not only this people also vote for them to come in power with the result that India exploits this action of people on international level by saying that by voting Kashmiri people have shown their faith in so called Indian democracy.So the best way to remember and give due respect to the holy blood of martyrs is to completely boycott the next elections whenever conducted or held and thereby show to the world that we are not willing to remain under the Indian occupation. Geelani Sahab reminded people of the atrocities committed by occupational forces, local administration and police in the form of oppression,imprisonment of youth and leaders, torture of freedom fighters in interrogation centers,violation of modesty of women folk to the extent of even raping & murdering them,destruction of our property and houses and above all to abolish our Islamic identity by cultural aggression. Geelani sahib asked people to join the ranks of Tehreek-Hurriyat organization which has been established with three objectives Islam to be adopted as acomplete way of life,strive for freedom for Islam with unity of Millah.He laid stress on the character building as per principals of Quran and Sunnah,only then by the help of GOD we shall achieve the success. Meanwhile another youth namely Mohdabbas Nengroo of Hanjan Bala Rajpora who also got martyred in the Yachgoch encounter was laid to rest in his ancestral village.The funeral prayers were lead by the district president Tehreek-Hurriyat district Pulwama.
