Success! A whale disentanglement team from the Department of Parks and Wildlife has successfully disentangled a 8m humpback whale north-west of Geraldton. The team, with assistance from the Department of Fisheries and Kalbarri Volunteer Sea Rescue, used specialist equipment to cut several buoys and rope from the whale late yesterday afternoon, 20nm off the Geraldton coast.
