Such a hard time of the year for me & my family. This year has been especially tough. Ive watched my closest loved ones go through a lot of personal attack. A lot of hurtful things said to or about them. Whether justified or not. Ive watched the people I hold dearest to me hurt immensely . I spent many of day trying to keep my ideals in order, neglecting the emotions of those closest to me to appease others. I will do that no more. Ive seen too many people operate with no regard in how they interact with my loved ones, because they felt their opinion of them was justified. I took those opinions and backed their position, forsaking the emotional well being of my loved ones. That will be no more. Im taking the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health of my family back. Ive watched too many times, my loved ones put their best foot forward, only to have it lopped off by the people they tried to help, because some of their actions in some eyes may have been misguided. And so I watched my loved ones experience the pain of ridicule or disdain because someone feels authoritative enough to belittle or berate them for their actions. These things will have to stop. If at the end of the day, I burn some bridges. So be it. It will be worth it to know my family is ok. Because the pain in their eyes, and the hurt in their heart is killing me inside.
