Such beauty in these lines of poetry: He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. I might write it this way: He causes me to lie down in soft gardens full of light... He leads me along the shore by a calm ocean My soul is quiet in me because he has restored my mind He guides me by His Spirit down the path of light For His glory that shines in me Even though I pass through the shadow of death as I gaze out the window from my hospital bed I will not fear any evil For I know He is with me Even though He corrects me and convinces me of His love It all is to guide me into a place of rest and comfort from Him For he is with me He pours the oil of His Spirit over my mind like a rain shower that covers the land that heals and is restored to life He prepares my heart that I might see that my enemies have not succeeded in their plans of deceit And my head is anointed by the great knowledge of His unfailing love and I will dwell with Him forever in the eternal house of His goodness, hope and love. ~ ~ ~ ***~~~ A Psalm of David.
