Suddenly, A wild Mini appears... Police have released CCTV after a car crashed into Hopwood Hall College, badly injuring the driver and causing extensive damage to the building. At about 7.15pm on Saturday 9 August 2014, a grey Mini Cooper S was travelling along Manchester Road, towards Rochdale, when the driver lost control at the junction of Dane Street. The car crossed the central reservation and collided with the railings, before ploughing into the college. Rochdale Road was closed for four hours. The driver, a 21-year-old man, suffered head injuries and was taken to Salford Royal Infirmary for treatment. He is currently being treated in hospital and his condition remains stable.
