Suffering a heart attack on early December, I bought a terra trike tourII. I also bought a Cat trike expedition a few days later. Here are my thoughts. The Tour II shipped fast but they said it came with extra decals in a few colors. It came with one yellow decal. No biggie. As its winter here, I cant ride much but my wife and I managed to each take it for a few blocks. It handles well and has pretty good gearing. But, there are some negatives. The cables rub on the steering linkage. There is no sprockets guard while the cat trike comes with it standard. No head rest but the seat adjusts. The cat trike comes with the adjustable head test but the seat is fixed and pretty laid back but nice. To add the 26 rear wheel is a couple hundred bucks while the cat trike comes with it standard. The tour II comes with twist shifters and the cat trike has thumb shifters. I prefer the thumb type as the twist grips seem pretty stiff. The Tera trike does not come with a mirror but the cat trike does. The cat trike is a lot lighter than the tour II. The frame materials and design are completely different from each other. I like the look and weight of the cat trike. The pedals on each are personal preference. Now, aside from the quality and features, Im going to also say a few things about how they treat their customer on the initial purchase. As Ive said, my terra trike arrived very fast but not ship with the promised decals. Not a big deal. Documentation was short and sweet. The cat trike came from Utah trikes. They are awesome. They sent along a tee shirt., two extra tubes, Accessories mount, mirror, headrest, better tires and better paint. They also sent along a flag, tool kit, tee shirt, a couple extra tubes, kand some other stuff I really wasnt expecting. I have not had the chance to ride the cat trike as the weather here is terrible. Sitting in either is pretty nice. Im not slamming either trike or company. Just thought I would give you my thoughts in case you are thinking of either model. These were both within just a few dollars of each other including shipping. My opinion only. The cat trike surely outshines the terra trike for the same money.
