Suicide is a tried and tested formula for release. Every call I had today was downtown. And a hanging. Almost hanging is still up when we get there, which makes bagging them a Hell of a lot easier. My first call must have JUST died when they were discovered. The body was still warm when I got there, which just feels weird. When you witness certain things X amount of times and then you see the same thing, and its completely different, it takes a moment for your brain to catch up. I was half expecting him to grab my wrist at first. Another odd thing, the neck returned to pretty much its normal size and the ligature shrank from a thick heavy rope to almost looking like a piano wire. Ive never seen that before. Last call (right before leaving of course so I couldnt cool off before going home) we had to suit up for. HIV+, blood everywhere, needle still in the arm and a hoarder. Didnt know half empty coke bottles were now being used in place of hardwood floors. Almost fell into who knows what a few times. Hopefully next shift is nothing but hospital calls. Easy, hassle free hospital calls.
