Summary: Anti-racist racist is a term that Jean Paul Sartre, originally, coined. Frantz Fanon uses it in Black Skin White Masks to describe black on black crime--this is, ironic, because Fanon is passively employed by Black Nationalists. A posteriori is a word coined by Immanuel Kant in the Critique of Judgement. It is derived from Aristotles view of natural history (as opposed to a priori, which is a Platonic concept of forms). The major difference between a posteriori and a priori reasoning is the method in which they both acquire knowledge. A priori knowledge is inherent; while, a posteriori knowledge is derived from the social interaction between the senses and phenomena. Lastly, in truth, my real understanding of dialectical reasoning was forced upon me post-graduate school in a psychiatric ward. There I was introduced to dialectical behavior therapy, which is group a therapy. At the time, I simply threw the word around, along with others such as hermeneutic and dispensation, but I really didnt know much about their real application, until Brenda, another patient who graduated from Pembroke College, Brown University, explained it in terms of Karl Marx. From then on, I think that I finally got the picture.
