Summing up the past week is a bit tricky. It was a beautiful nightmare you could say. Seeing animals actively being treated in such way that would be considered torturous and cruel. I also got to be part of an amazing project and contribute in a way that allowed me to have one of the greatest experiences of my life. The incredible work this project does was a privilege to be part of. Our project managers are amazing. Their dedication, sincerity and patience are an inspiration. Everyday they pumped us full of information and positivity. Our lucky 11 Mahouts, who are courageously pioneering their village to taking steps towards making a change. They have humble spirits and are always finding a way to laugh and smile. And then of course the elephants... I knew elephants were awesome creatures, but had no idea how deep their waters ran. The few hours a day we had with those precious 11 elephants, were spent taking long walks and having jungle time. We would go spying on them just being elephants was memorizing, often times hilarious and always beautiful. They are playful, affectionate, wildly intelligent and giant graceful creatures. Each one with its own personality and demeanor. There are simply no words... I want to Thank those of you who have followed my time here and asked how to help.
