Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced that late yesterday James L. Six, 40, of Stow Road in Stow, pleaded guilty to Forgery, a felony of the fifth degree. In an attempt to secure employment, Six, applied to a temporary job agency. Six, having a felony criminal history, presented a letter from “Sherri Bevan Walsh, District Attorney” which stated that Six had his identity stolen and that Six’s actual record consisted only of misdemeanor convictions. The letter concludes with Prosecutor Walsh’s forged signature with the title “District Attorney.” An employee at the agency, believing the letter looked suspicious, contacted the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office and was instructed to file a police report. The employee at the temp agency indicated that this is not the first time he has seen these forged letters. “My office never sends out letters regarding criminal records having been expunged,” said Prosecutor Walsh. “Should anyone see a letter like this, allegedly signed by Sherri Bevan Walsh, know that it is fraudulent.” Judge Jane Davis will sentence Six on December 2 at 9:00a.m.
