Sunday, August 22, 1965... 3:30 P.M.... the Beatles are presented in the Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon, located at 300 North Winning Street, continuing with his second Tour by the United States in 1965...Before going to Portland, that morning they had a press conference in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport in Minnesota...Boarded an airplane American Lockheed Electra model... shortly after that initiated the flight, the pilot and all realized that one of the 4 engines had burnt...John Lennon who was frightened by what happened was you doing written messages which then kept in a metal box of a film of film carrying with it... Fortunately the plane landed smoothly...A relieved John Lennon was heard him say: "Beatles, Women and Children first!" ("Beatles, women and children first!"), causing the laughter of all... There were two concerts, the first was at 3:30 P.M. and next was at 8:00 P.M....They went to see them 20,000 fans...Tickets had cost between 4.00 and 5.00 6.00...Were issued pink tickets which had free access at the top of the Memorial Coliseum... the Beatles played 12 songs: "Twist and Shout", "Shes A Woman", "I Feel Fine", "Dizzy Miss Lizzy", "Ticket To Ride", "Everybodys Trying To Be My Baby", "Cant Buy Me Love","Babys In Black", "Act Naturally", "A Hard Days Night", "Help!" and "Im Down"... the openers groups were: "Brenda Holloway and the King Curtis Band","The Cannibal Headhunters","Sounds Incorporated", and"The Young Rascals"...The Beatles received backstage to Carl Wilson and Mike Love of the Beach Boys...Shortly after his second concert, boarded a plane model "Constellation", bound for Los Angeles, California...Starting on Monday, August 23, 1965, they would have 5 days off...The Memorial Coliseum in Portland Oregon, remains in the same place, being the home of the Portland Trail Blazers, Basketball League, or NBA."
