At 2pm, CHRIS GUDU & THE AFRO PAMOJA - Originating from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Chris Gudu instills the authentic and irresistible sounds of township jive to the ears, feet and hands of his listeners - in other words, you can’t help but dance!! Building his guitars and drums by hand from a tender age, his talent developed by playing at the rituals and ceremonies of his homeland. Participating in many choirs growing up, Gudu became a seasoned singer of the Umbaqanga style. These up-tempo and exuberant polyrhythmic compositions of the Umbaqanga will leave the audience feeling high and exhilarated. You will be transported to the streets and shebeens of Southern Africa as Gudu delivers this highly charged and energetic performance. Free!
