Sunday night recap of our week, First off you guys that actually read my (Jims ) little weekly rant need to come up with a better name for it! Free BBQ sandwich if I choose your title! Last week we had the pleasure of serving a big tailgate party for WVU - TECH for their big soccer tournament, and it was a blast ,nice and cold and rainy perfect tailgate weather :) Another interesting catered event took place in Logan County, 2 different CSX rail yards celebrated an employee appreciation day at their Peach Creek Yard complete with a DJ, Bounce Houses, and a photographer taking everyones picture in front of a big ol locomotive! Oh and food from us Ridge View BBQ. We really want to thank Ryan and Chris for considering us for this big event. Plus we catered a slew of our regular customers and even had to turn some business away because we were so heavily booked (always book us early so you dont miss out ) Speaking of turning business away, we got a request to feed 350 people on Thanksgiving day (basically employees who are forced to work to get a jump on Black Friday ) we dont support big business that has over commercialized such an important holiday as Christmas so we simply said no. From time to time we have to make hard decisions based on more than money,(a certain festival that we refuse to do comes to mind) as always keep us in your prayers that we choose to do the right thing. Im sure that they will find someone who doesnt care to cater it for them. I got and interesting text after closing on Friday night, it was from an employee (usually a cowardly way of quiting or calling in lol) but this one was different. They text me to tell us that Ridge View BBQ was the best job they had ever had and we were the best bosses they had ever had. It literally made our weekend! I could go on and on but thats it for now.
