Sunrise on the weekend doesnt have this billowing steam from an industrial plant on the Rez. You can hear geese honking happily. Its ironic that everyone in Kamloops is up in arms over the proposed Ajax mine, while they completely ignore this huge venting of industrial gases and the crap that comes pouring out of the Weyerhauser/Domtar smoke stack. If they were so concerned about the air quality in Kamloops, they would easily discover that may pounds of toxic pollutants are already pumped into the air we breathe daily. To me, Kamloops is just one big cancer cluster. The river & Kamloops Lake are toxic unless filtered, as I discovered camping on the riverbank. I dare anyone to drink a glass or South Thompson River water across from the Residential School.
