Super interesting video. Like maybe promoting this hypermasculine, boys dont cry ideal that denies men weakness and emotions and insists on (physical) strength (leading to violence), ends up conditioning boys into linking their self-worth to their ability to man up, repress their emotions, and replace emotional outlets like crying with, for example, violence. It isnt executed perfectly in the video in my opinion, with the ending - to me it seemed a little bit like they were saying this boys dont cry conditioning only matters because of the ultimate effect it has on women in the form of domestic abuse. But its so important I think that we see that these things are all interrelated: hypermasculinity, misogyny, domestic violence, even homophobia. If we open up discussion for ALL aspects of gender problematics and diminish gender roles and patriarchy EVERYBODY WINS YAY
