Supermarket fruits and vegetables are often kept in transit or in - TopicsExpress

Supermarket fruits and vegetables are often kept in transit or in storage for up to a month before they hit the shelves despite being labelled as fresh. Many foods such as fruits are picked prematurely which limits the amount of nutrients which are transferred from the plant to its fruits. This is yet another reason why we should source our foods locally where possible. Help yourself and help local businesses and the British economy!!
