Supermarket loses RM600,000 to four masked men BENTONG: A supermarket here lost RM600,000 after its premises was broken into via the backdoor by four masked men in an incident last night. Bentong police chief Supt Mohamad Mansor Mohamad said the suspects were believed to have scaled the fence at the back of the supermarket before prying open a door on the first floor of the building and broke the safe with a grinder machine. They ran off with RM600,000 in cash kept in the safe which was the collection of the supermarket for the last three days. The incident was discovered at about 9am this morning by a clerk after finding the office ransacked and the safe broken into, he said when contacted here today. According to him, initial investigations found the suspects had immobilised the alarm system of the premises before proceeding with the theft.
