Sura: As a medical student, its very shameful that we, as students, smoke inside medical complexes where it should be a smoke free building. When I asked some of the students to stop smoking, they laughed sarcastically and said, if the guards of this complex do smoke inside, why should we stop smoking? As a student, I have the write to breathe clean air inside the faculty of medicine at least! I made a complaint and e-mailed the dean of medicine and I hope he can do something about it! Today, I had an anatomy lab exam which means we had to stay in classrooms till 1 pm and no one was allowed to leave. Some of my colleagues couldnt bare staying 4 hours without smoking so they took a PERMISSION from the lady that was in charge to keep us inside and whos a worker at the faculty of medicine and she allowed them to smoke inside the classroom! When I told her that smoking is annoying me, she responded with I cant allow them to smoke outside so I allowed them to smoke inside So disappointing that this occurred at the faculty of medicine today!
