Sure you can. Nothing wrong about creating a box for yourself to live inside, the dark brown walls shutting out the nasties and the crusties and allowing only the blue skies above and when it rains, snapping up the regulatory black umbrella and staying dry and cozy. But sides can be ruthlessly torn open and not only do you stare in anguish at what is outside, those outside look in at you with jaded eyes and note your exposed whiteness with blasé interest. Perhaps then, and only then do you know who you have become. The torn sides can become a door and springing out you can begin to dance on your skeletons and build altars with the rubbish of the past to celebrate new beginnings.
