Survey , Civil Engineering Required education and experience in Survey Engineering. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and documentation of Survey Instruments. Ability to introduce products to customers, implement training and customer support. This position functions primarily within our office with contact to customers, employees, management, and Suppliers. The Survey Engineer is responsible for providing Customer Driven Focus while selling and supporting products and services. The products include GPS, Total Stations, Construction Lasers and Field and Mobile Solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: •Discussing specific project requirements with clients. • Measuring the ground as required by the client, including aspects such as small and large-scale distances, angles and elevations. •Using a range of equipment to produce surveys, including GPS and conventional methods. •Ensures the integration of field data and records into completed maps, plats, drawings and records. •Assists in construction, design, topographic, hydrographic, property and all types of control surveys. •Produces accurate detailed maps and accurate surveying data in a timely manner. •Sets up, operates and adjusts all types of survey equipment, including a level, transit and electronic measuring device. •Makes trigonometric calculations, such as adjusting traverses and calculation of coordinates, control points, quantities and areas. • Prepares and reviews maps, drawings, sketches, plats and simple reports from field notes and makes recommendations. •Trains customers and other crew members on the latest technology in surveying equipment and finds new and innovative ways of doing surveys. •Solve technical problems relating to survey engineering work. •Research records and compile survey data. •Understand and evaluate the applicability and benefit of state-of-the-art surveying processes. •Read and interpret complex maps, construction drawings; recommend and implement improved work procedures. •Understands computer applications for performing survey calculations. •Prepare neat and accurate notes, sketches, field maps and reports. •Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those encountered in the course of work and use effective oral and written communication. huda.mohamed@edge-pro
