Suuuuper tired after a day at the Fitness Expo. If Im honest, - TopicsExpress

Suuuuper tired after a day at the Fitness Expo. If Im honest, I had mixed feelings about it. It was great seeing people out and about getting involved in everything fitness related - but if Im totally honest the whole expo was 85% image dominant.. There was a strong drive towards body sculpting, fitness models & supps and only a small % included crossfit, gyms and health/wellness products.. If I was just getting into the fitness buzz and headed along to the expo I would have been extremely intimidated!! Fitness is so much more than taking supplements to look a certain way, or training to look a certain way. Its about whole body health - inside, self acceptance, moving your body in a way that feels good - it would have been nice to see a bit more variety, but once again the industry is strongly focused on image and all! I have nothing against this, I think its important to feel good about yourself and I take supplements myself - but there is so much more to be embraced. I had waves on anxiety, where I would look around and realise that anybody who is anyone was in great shape and wearing no clothes - but thats the reality of this industry. Half naked chicks sell - I felt a little uncomfortable at one point because I was having a fat day where I felt like I was the biggest one there.. In the stress of this moment I ate a whole pack of rice cakes and hummus whilst watching the fitness model show lol 😣👏 But aside from that - I was pretty bored, full of anxiety and kinda wanted to go home - I did my best to get through the day! It was great meeting everyone and all my beautiful followers who came to say hello :) thank you! Once again this was just my personal opinion on the expo!! x S
