Swaps for later model commodore! Up for cash/swap offers is my non BT1 December 1985 rb30e mf5 manual vl sl commodore, i have owned this car for about 3 years. The car was sold by nanango motors, drayton street nanango on 11/4/86 and remained in nanango for some time until the first owner sold it after a few years to a family friend who had the car on the gold coast for all these years until passing away and leaving it to me. Over the time i have owned it quite a few things have been done to it, more then i could remember sitting down trying to write about, it has been well maintained and very loved maintaining the original paint (suffers typical vl rust) the motor and shell have an estimated 150-160ks (the non turbo dashs clog stopped working so a turbo cluster was fitted) it has always been serviced with the best oils and all new suspension and bushes underneath. Has had a fair bit of suspension work carried out recently including Adjustable panhard rod New pedders front and rear sports ryder shocks Pedders front and rear lowering springs Whiteline strut brace Adjustable Camber adjustable strut tops New ball joints Whiteline adjustable radius rod castor kit 27mm adjustable front swaybar Brand new steering rack Reconditioned New steering rack lines Wheel bearings Rear sway bar links New clutch master New clutch slave 1 brake master New rear drum cylinders Full set of 225/50/R16 Kumho Ku36 performance tyres just fitted on freshly painted sv5000 wheels looks good and handles unreal for a vl. This recent work added up to be A LOT of cash spent, but it definitely reflects the cars handling ability and it stands out from the rest of the vl commodores out there. This is my 2nd round of doing a suspension kit for the car last time going with coilovers - larger front sway bar - 24mm rear one - with 17 wheels but the car wasnt suited to such a hard set up without a cage, so if youre interested in something a little different that can handle, this might be for you. The car also has Hsv clubsport seats Extractors into a high flow cat into a 2 1/2 exhaust system, sounds good Exedy heavy duty clutch (thrust bearing is noisy and mf5 is tired, was planning to replace both at once) Recently rebuilt diff New carrier and pinion bearings 3:45 diff gears 4 pinion Lsd (still very tight) Basic sound system, head unit 6x9 pioneers in the back 4 pioneers in the dash Vl tacho dash Serviced regularly with Penrite ten tenths racing oil Cooling system had a complete overhaul when i first obtained the car New fuel reg New fuel filter New crank angle sensor Fuse box not melted Tidy interior for its age Body is considerably clean Does have some things that need attending to such as typical vl boot rust inside the seal, and a little under the front windshield and a noisy input shaft bearing Located on the gold coast. Thanks for reading.
