Sweden is a neutral country... meaning they have no standing army of their own and rely totally on the UN to defend them if they should ever be attacked... It ALSO means they do not take any position on any conflict issue... nor do they take any sides in a war... By Sweden making a statement about Israel they are risking losing their neutral standing in the UN... Meaning the UN could decide to NOT protect them in any conflict... What a risk to take... especially against Israel, the 4th largest military in the world... But I can think of no better country to take that risk against....
