Sweet Success! Aksel and Rosey came to Purrfect Pals in May of 2013 after being abandoned in a rental home. When they first came to Lynnwood, they were terrified, withdrawn and stayed huddled together in the furthest corner of their cage. Very, very slowly, they learned they could trust us and started interacting with the volunteers, Bit by bit, they came out of their shells and started coming out of their cage and exploring the room. Aksel and Rosey captured the hearts of everyone who worked with them. When they started purring and pushing into our hands for pets, and begging for their wet food, we felt like wed won the lottery. After months of love and patience, they caught the eye of a gentleman who wanted to give them a fresh start in his home. Nine months later, they sleep on him, next to him, allow him brush them, trim their nails and are truly relaxed and happy. Seeing these cats overcome their fear and flourishing in their forever home reminds us all of why we work so hard for these cats. These success stories mean the world to us.
