Sweet senior girl Grace needs a special home and a second chance at life. Grace was found tied up to a mailbox in a remote area, apparently abandoned. Other than her friendly, winsome personality, staff noticed right away that little Grace was coughing and had a few tumors/growths here and there. HSJCs president took Grace to Hadlock Vet Clinic for a check-up. Her coughing turned out to be a collapsing trachea/throat damage - probably caused by pressure from a collar and no doubt irritated by being tied up. This isnt cause for concern, but she shouldnt be walked on a collar ever again. Her tumors are another story. The big one you can see on her back leg is just a fatty tumor, not cancerous and not hurting her. However the tumors on her chest and tummy are breast cancer. :( The vet said little Grace has some time left, potentially up to a couple of years, but she is past treatment. She is looking for a loving home to spend the remainder of her years - hopefully living in luxury like she so deserves. Grace is available for a reduced adoption fee to the right home. She deserves a second chance and as much love as any person can give.
