Swiss Re are global re-Insurers, the people who insure insurance companies against loss... here is their report Hydraulic Fracking: The Potential Exposure from Transportation of Resulting Wastewater - an interesting analysis of some of the concrete risks and known scientific dangers of transporting contaminated wastewater (revealing inherent dangers of fracking along the way). It is hard to accuse re-insurers of sensationalism or anti-science, as it is their business to analyse risks soley on scientific information and balance of risk.
