#SwitchOff .. #EarthHour .. #YourPower.. #PleasePayAttention .. #MattersRelatedToSurvivalOfMankind .. #TimeToRealise .. Ive associated myself with a Noble movement couple of years after its initiation..!! Since then Im observing this event annually.. Let me share some facts about what it actually is & how it started as like every year when I observe & engage myself in this event I want to invite all Planteers to involve themselves in this noble act.. It all started back in 2007 as an #Australian movement for the Caring of the Planet backed up & organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature aka #WWF.. This movement known as the EARTH HOUR.. was initiated to raise the level of awareness & shift peoples attention towards various Environmental Issues prevailing.. One of the major activities done to raise the awareness of the movement on a large scale was Encouraging Individuals, Households, Communities, Businesses, etc.. to Turn-Off all the non-essential lights for One Hour..as a symbol for their commitment towards the Planet Earth.. Doing so.. can collectively Save a significant amount of Energy for a particular neighbourhood, etc.. This event is held each year at the end of March.. Since its initiation in 2007, more than 7000 cities & towns around the world joined the movement.. Now.. in all these years it has reached a point where the realisation of its nobility has been decently understood.. still preservation of our dear Earth, promotion of Renewable Energy, Climate Consciousness, Dangers of Nuclear Energy as a whole are far-off from being realised around the world.. Thus.. it is a kind of continuous effort.. on the part of conscious beings to make people constantly aware of the importance of Caring of our Environment.. by engaging people in events like the Earth Hour.. For many people.. this event might not seem of being of much importance... but.. as soon as we are able to understand how wonderful this Planet of our is & how wonderful it is getting involved in a noble movement along with our fellow members of our common dear home, the Earth, is.. we will without any scepticism & negativity, with heart filled with Condition-less Compassion automatically volunteer ourselves in the Observance of this Global Event!!.. And the best part of the event is that.. you can engage in this event globally from any part of the Earth & you dont need excess support from any organisation... As a fellow Earthling, It is my Earnest.. request to all to spare an hour for our dear Earth.. by Switching-Off all your household energy-Lights.. for an hour.. As this year Earth Hour is going to be held on the 29th of March, Saturday.. I urge you all to turn-off your household lights from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, your local time.. I request you to encourage as many people you can to join this movement by letting them know about this.. And at the end of the day if you dont find many people joining you in this movement, without getting disheartened you yourself try to honestly observe this on your part & let all know that youve done it.. because.. it is the least you can do to show respect to our true GOD- the Earth.. Mark my words, youll surely feel better by doing this... as youll be contributing towards the betterment of the Health of our ailing Planet.. and the fact is if it is in good health.. we will be in good health.. as We are in Earth, the Earth is also in us!! P.S. many important landmarks around the world like Sydney Opera House in Australia, Empire State Building in USA, Colosseum in Italy, The Sky Tower in New Zealand, etc... have been engaged in this event & switched themselves off in the past for an hour to show their respect for this movement.. so.. without any doubt.. engage yourself!! & if you are worrying about how to pass the time, you should be thanking this event because during that one hour you can also involve in activities which you dont do in general like Star Gazing, Having Cosy Story Telling Sessions with Family & Friends, Meditating, etc..All these activities will surely be of good benefit to you all.. So, let me wish you all Good Luck for this.. Lets together observe the Twenty14 WWF Earth Hour for dear Earth!!
