Sydney Water apologises to residents for this mornings burst water main at Bilgola. Our crews will be working hard throughout the day to repair the damage and reconnect water supply. Sydney Water was contacted at 3.50am regarding the broken main and a network technician was on site at 5.45am. Water was progressively shut off to the area at approximately 7am. Fifty properties are currently without water across Allan Avenue, Plateau Road and The Serpentine. Sydney Water customer liaison staff are on site helping residents who have experienced flooding from the water main. The release of water has caused part of the road to subside under a fire truck. Once the truck has been moved from the site then our crew can begin repairs on the pipe. At this stage, the estimated return of water supply is unknown. Again we apologise to residents who have been affected.
