Synopsis Biographic Apostle Jerlette Mickie, DCC “A MAN WITH A VISION” Chief Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher, Visionary, Musician, Singer, Motivational Speaker and Author Presiding Apostle and Prelate of Moving With A Vision (MWAV) Ministries, International, and Senior Pastor of New Light Cathedral Inc. located in Woodford, Virginia. Apostle Mickie has a thriving ministry that is on the move for God. He is the Chief Apostle of a culturally and ethnic diverse body of members, with ministries located in Africa, Asia and North America. A man mandated from God to impart the spirit of excellence in men and women as they embrace the call of destiny in their lives. Apostle Mickie’s relationship with Christ began over 40 years ago at Free Gospel Deliverance Temple under the tutelage of the honorable Apostle Ralph E. Green. Apostle Mickie accepted the call to the ministry in 1978 and thus began to do the work of an Evangelist; he has been in the pastoral ministry since 1983. He entered the bishopric in October 1989 and was elevated to the office of Apostle of MWAV Ministries, in September 2001. As a result of his meticulous leadership style and administrative expertise, Apostle Mickie has been a mentor to many leaders and has assisted countless others in establishing and structuring their ministries for effective Kingdom work. His prophetic healing and deliverance ministry has touched the lives of countless individuals throughout the world to include foreign soil. In addition to pastoring his local congregation, presently Apostle Mickie is teaching “ Men Empowerment” at the Homeless Shelter to men. His practical preaching and teaching techniques has impacted and restored life to ministries that were previously dormant. Apostle Mickie is a man on a mission to reach the massive. Apostle Mickie’s education achievements consist of Bachelor of Art in Theology, Doctorate in Christian Counseling, and an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity, as well as numerous awards and achievements. He will be receiving his Doctorate in Ministry in July 2014 and Bachelor’s of Business Administration in May 20216. He is a retired United States Marine and a highly decorated Vietnam War veteran. He has published three books entitled “Broken But Some Pieces Still Work” “Thoughts To Consider” and “Men Possessing The Total Package.” It is encouraging to know that even in your brokenness God can still get the very best out of your life. His new book “Living in the edge is due out the winter of 2014” Apostle Mickie will tell you that God is the source of his motivation, energy and stamina to do ministry, but his encouragement to stay focus comes from his wife of over 39 years, Lady Leona Mickie. They are honored to be the parents of four wonderful children who love God and have diligently used their gifts to support the work of the Kingdom.
