Synopsis of Hawker Ghar (Home of Truth) Humanism is above all, the ultimate truth. The believers of formal religion never accepted this great principle of humanism. The conflict between two thoughts "The Philosophy of God within human being” and "the Philosophy of God beyond human being” is everlasting, non-ending & continuous. The great devotee LALON SAI expressed his self acquired knowledge of truth through lyrics & song in nineteenth century at a remote village of a district namely Kushtia of Bangladesh. The truth what he said & preached never created any enemity & dispute between the holy books The Quran, Bibel, Gita and Tripitak. Rather these holy books were complimentary & helpful to each other in establishing the dignity of human beings. The result of this preaching brought several ignominy & insultation in his life by the believers of formal religion, lords & high ups of the society in identifying his cast, religion & sect. The great devotee LALON SAI left this world for eternal journey in the year 1889. After his death he was buried in his own house, the “Home of Truth”. Till then upto now his thousands of followers considering the “Home of Truth” as the most pure & holy place. They were practicing the culture & philosophy of LALON in this home. During British & Pakstan rule they used to face few obstacles in practicing their faith & philosophy as introduced by LALON SAI but after the emergence of independent Bangladesh they had to face a serious challenge in the year 1980. It is said that the local administration along with some terrorist and students of Madrasa (educational institution based on Islam) combindly attacked the followers & snatched away the Home of Truth. Till now this holy place is under the control of non-followers. So, the Home of Truth started loosing its holiness & purity and became recreation centre of middle class people, picnic spot of poor and a profit earning instrument of the rich. At the same time the Lalon’s philosophy & songs started distorting and as a result becoming a product of social business for amusement. With this heinous endeavor some social leaders, political leaders & so called low quality researchers joined hands together to destroy the sprit of Philosophy of Lalon and in the process a big syndicate immersed. Against this act of destruction, the true followers of Lalon are fighting silently in a non-violence manner. These non-violent followers still hope & believe that with the love, sympathy & inspiration of the people they can again come back with the right & authority of “Home of Truth”. Keeping in view the above facts thus documentary film has tried to investigate & examine the sentiment of the followers and the past incidents to explore the truth once forever.
