T. SASI KUMAR, 26TH MARCH, 2014 Dear Friends/Silver Jubilians/Batchmates of 1975-78, On 25th March i.e., yesterday myself and Mr.ASRK Prasad had been to the workshop of our supplier at Charlapalli. We came to learn that he had sent the items to Boinapally work shop, and we had been to that workshop. We found that the following have been already manufactured. 1. Rice cooking vessels 2 2. Dal cooking vessel 1 3. Milk boiler 1 4. Idly Box 5. Steam Generating Boiler 1 Further the work shop have prepared the stand also to accommodate all these. Major work, Assembling to be done. Now the balance work left in the workshop to be done is as follows. All the vessels need to be fitted with the pipe liners and volves. Ball bearing should be fitted to the vessels to allow them to be tilted after the food is prepared. Steam Generating Boiler should be fitted with the volves, and meters to gauze the temperature, etc., Also, it should be fitted with the levers to allow it to be useful for both regular water & boiled water (from solar water heater) inlets. Outlets of steam from boiler to the vessels should be fitted. It would take 30 minutes to get the boiler generate the required steam, and once the steam is let in to the first vessel it would take 5 minutes to boil 30kgs rice, and another 5 minutes for complete cooking. Once the first vessel food is boiled, the steam would go the next vessel. Next vessel would take another 5+5 minutes. Third vessel another 5+5 minutes. Once the food is ready in the first vessel, it can be taken out by tilting the vessel, and second round of cooking item i.e., rice or dal or sambar or boiled curries, etc., can be put in to it. The workshop in-charge told us that he would be requiring 3 days to complete his work. Because of 4-5 hours Power cut in the Industrial Areas, the work is getting delayed. He indicated to us that, he would complete all the fittings and would transport it to our hostel, before 31st March. Because 31st march happens to be UGADI, he said that his workers would take 2 days leave. On 2nd april, he would go to the hostel and complete the installation process, tiles work and demo purpose. From 4th April, it would be fully functional. I would discuss with Pullaiah, Dr.Ramanaiah Sir, and our Principal Sri Abdul Khadar garu, regarding a convenient date for inauguration. I shall take views from all of you, and would arrive at a convenient date, for majority of us, for official inauguration. This is the present status. I feel disappointed that on 27th march, we could not start it as was thought of 10 days back. Unfortunately, IT IS NOT IN OUR HANDS. After my last communication, I am happy to mention that some of our juniors, came up with proposal for contribution, but of course, I mentioned to them that this project is exclusively for our 1975-78 batchmates only. Really, I felt happy that there is lot of momentum and enthusiasm generated in all Silver Jubilians. It is because of the love every one has for the Mighty and Mothely, Institution. Regarding the balance Rs. 21,000/-, which I had mentioned in my last mail, Mr. Y. Ramesh, who had given Rs. 10,000/- to the fraternity account on 2nd Oct’13 itself, advised me to talk to Mr.Janardhan/Dr.Ramanaiah Sir, and take it in to our account. Secondly, our ever dependable Mr.Ramesh Babu, has informed that he would contribute another Rs. 10,000/- before 31st March. I had openend our batting with my contribution, after our project proposal came up on 10th October’13 with Rs. 5,000/- and I would take the prevliege of closing our batting with my little contribution of Rs. 1,000/-. There by the budgeted cost would be met with. I HAD DISCUSSED WITH PULLAIAH regarding the minor repairs to the compound wall of the hostel and white washing to be done for the building. We have two persons who made promises, we have not yet collected from them, if these two works can be done with their contributions, we would take otherwise, we would close with this. I am very thankful to some of our friends like Dr.Bramham Reddy, Dr.Sridhar, Dr.Giridhar , Ramesh Babu, etc., who are ever willing, and who had volunteered to come up with some more contributions. By God’s grace and by the best wishes of all our friends, and the blessings of our Guruji Dr.Ramanaiah garu, now the contributions can be closed as mentioned above. I should make a special mention about our friend Mr.Viswanadham Kasi, who is taking lot of pains in bringing the supplier to our terms. Some times he handles him very toughly. Thank You, Vishu. Mr.ASRK Prasad does not require separate mention, because he is a major part of the project, as he is always willing to come out with ideas or physical presence or ready to jump in to action at the shortest possible time also. He has been a great help to me. REGARDS, T SASIKUMAR 9346461215/9966234316
