TBD: The Movie Pre-Production Fund Raising Proposal GOAL Raise - TopicsExpress

TBD: The Movie Pre-Production Fund Raising Proposal GOAL Raise $1500. Funds will be used as the pre-production budget for TBD: The Movie. All money donated will go directly to funding TBD: The Movie. I will not be paid from these donations. Pre-production will last 3 months. At that point a finished draft of the script will be published online for peer review. A follow-up Indiegogo campaign will be launched to fund the production phase. CAMPAIGN SCHEDULE June 20th, 2013 - July 20th, 2013 AFTER THE CAMPAIGN Pre-Production: July 20th, 2013 - October 20th, 2013 STORY TBD: The Movie will be a crowd-funded, crowd-sourced movie distributed online for free. The proliferation of digital media content has become both a blessing and a curse for amateur artists of all types. The novelty of online publishing has faded; audiences are no longer content to follow artists’ careers simply because they generate free (or cheap) content. Average, everyday content providers are now forced to compete for bandwidth against the likes of Eli Roth, Ron Howard, and David Fincher (each has their own Netflix series). We the People, the crowd, the internet users – we molded the digital distribution platform into an enticing avenue for artists and advertisers alike. Shouldn’t we be the benefiting from the digital media gold rush? TBD: The Movie will not be a for-profit venture. The final product will be released to the internet for free under a creative common license. TBD: The Movie will be the best business card no money can buy. Participation in the production (or the funding) guarantees your name in the credits. The shared networking power of the artists contributing will continue to grow as the project proceeds. As interest continues to mount, more artists will agree to contribute, creating the ever-elusive “viral” marketing strategy we all hear so much about. TBD: The Movie has no defined length or story. The money raised will be used to organize a team of writers and story contributors by remote, using popular social media outlets such as Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook. I will act as story editor and occasional contributor. I do not claim ownership of the concept, the material, or the final product. The final story and script will be left up to a majority vote. The final product will be a short format online video featuring mixed media contributions as well as live actors, sets, and locations. All forms of artistic contribution will be considered.
