#TBT - TehSynes - The Speech [free download] my fave song I made. Got given a delay pedal from the legendary group Counterstrike (THANKS!) Plugged it into my amp and started jamming with the longest delay time that didnt sound terrible, when I found a cool vibey riff I just decided to record myself playing it for a while, getting really into a state of trance. After I got a suitable structure I layered some drums with my MPD drum pad, left it un-quantized and moved on to the bass. Once I had all the music in place I started hearing melodies and rhythms in my head, this is where the lyrics came from. The atmosphere is thick on this one, I used a condenser mic so you can really hear all the noise and ambient sound from the air moving, after loads of layers it created a mad texture with all the delays and reverbs on the vocals, I didnt use headphones when I did the vocals so the bleed adds to it. It is also unmixed as I only have this demo recording of it I made to listen in my car. I hope you enjoy this song, It was meant to be the intro on my first EP but the rest of the files have disappeared in the depths of my hardrive. Will keep searching! Peace
