Dr.Bergman said that Bandit was being a willd man in the back today doing the HAPPY DANCE even when they took him as precaution to ICU to monitor should he have an allergic reaction. Sadly Bandit hasnt been able to celebrate remission again. He is continuing to lose weight which the Doctors are ecstatic about. On lymph node measurement the lt .popliteal which had tripled in size last week is even greater in size this week as well as the other lymph nodes being prominent this week. The CBC showed a tremendous drop in his neutrophils with results of 400 and they desire him to be at 1500 to be able to fight infection. He is now on an antibiotic to reduce the risk of sepsis as any infection now IS life threatening. Bandit received Elspar today in hopes he can achieve remission. The next 2 weeks are a critical timeline for us, they will determine whether we continue with CCNU or change to our last HOPE rescue protocol MOPP. The oncologists expressed sincere regrets on our behalf and said she is extremely saddened and disappointed. As for us, TEAM BANDITS mighty warrior continues to fight with his usual zest for Life and a tenacious will that leaves me humble and fiercely proud. Lymphoma will claim Bandits life but it will Never steal his HAPPY!
