TEEJ CELEBRATION Two days Teej celebrations was organized in Sacred Soul Convent Sr. Sec. School Dugri Road, Dhandra Ludhiana. Celebrations were held in school premises. On the first day 2nd Aug, 2013 Pre-Primary celebrated the festival. They were beautifully dressed up in Punjabi traditional outfits. They took rides, danced on the folk songs and had a ramp walk. Students preformed solo singing and dancing .Anomaldeep Kaur of LKG was Miss Teej of the day. The participants were given refereshments. The programme was concluded with gifts given as token of love by Principal of school Ms. Monica. Second day on 3rd Aug, 2013 Primary and high secondary students celebrated the Teej. A colorful programme was organized by four houses of the school . Programme started with a shabad and followed with short speech by Ms. Sheelza. In inter house competitions students compete for Mehandi, Rangoli, Turban tying and Plait making with great fervor and zeal. Student were beautifully dressed in traditional Punjabi attires. Simran of class 10+ 1 was adjudged Miss Teej of the day. The show ended with Attraction of the day, ramp walk and giddha Prizes were given to the winners and participants of different competitions. Refreshment was given to students and the day ended happily after a dance by whole school on Punjabi beats. Atmosphere of the school was very energetic and excited. Everyone enjoyed the function.
