TEWU THREATENS TO STRIKE ON MONDAY _________________________________________________________ The Teachers and Education Workers Union (TEWU) in all 6 public Universities across the country are threatening to embark on an indefinite strike on Monday. According to TEWU, the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission have failed to address discrepancies in their salaries following their migration onto the Single Spine Salary Structure. In a statement TEWU said it "has come to the realization that issues that we have brought before Fair Wages and Salaries Commission have never been given fullest attention.” Speaking to Citi News the Chairman of the Committee of the Universities local union executives of TEWU, Charles Arthur said their position will not change until their grievances are addressed.
