TGIF2DEF! This Friday is one of pivotal remembrances. This goes out to my sister Tameka Law and all of our friends that have played a huge role in our life of labor and love. My sister, Sister Bliss, yup, I gave her that nickname when we were kids. Ironic in choice really, due to the fact that our lives have never experienced any sheer variances of bliss at all. Many good times have been had but tremendous struggles have occurred way in advance before we were ever given an opportunity to appreciate a true state of happiness. We come from a world of lost children. Children who have survived (not lived but actually survived) through the many obstacles that have been most unwanted by any child or adolescent in this day and age. Through the years, mine and my sisters past have plagued us in certain instances and through granular scales as weve taken the toughest paths to explore who we are individually. Knowing that there isnt a blueprint on how life should be lived or what actually comes in that rugged box of experiences formulated to look like a true happy meal of life. My sister Tameka and I have thrived the best we could and we are still going through a perilous journey to find out what our main purposes are while we walk this tethered ball called earth. One true gift that still resides in us to this day. A wonderful trait that has helped us to stay sane and has aided us in remaining balanced, truly grounded, and prosperous throughout life, is our ability to help people and through our creative capabilities. These inalienable gifts are pyramids of power that weve taught one another since we were young. Folks have taken these gifts of kindness as weakness on our parts. Some have even taken advantage of us as weve tried to help them with their endeavors. Some have applauded us and have fueled us in ways that only empowered us to practice these wonderful qualities to the best of our abilities. Life is life and no one is at fault. Its just lessons learned as we all go through life. Nonetheless, my sister Tameka and I are still rolling as strong as we can and at the best caliber that has been given to us since the early days of our existence. Weve become stronger, more knowledgeable, and more manageable with our capabilities. The most important thing that we hope for is to continue to learn, thrive, and understand the various stages in life as we push through them. No one is perfect but the art of understanding, building, and persevering through the benevolent teachings from our extensive families of all races, creeds, and walks of life are true lessons of perfection. That element alone is what motivates us and keeps up growing throughout the many labors of our lives. This video and the lyrics by artist Kwabs is the closest visual of how my sister Tameka and I felt growing up, and how we still feel today. One Love for everyone. Many Blessings to you all throughout this Labor Day weekend and please continue to pray for love...for one another...forever. Kwabs - Pray For Love (Official Video) Lyrics: Verse 1: It’s safe to say we made it Along the path we tread so well And the shades we use to paint it Can’t start to show our lives parallel Eyes to the ground We watch our feet We’re a little bruised and battle-worn But the walls they built to keep us Cannot shield our storm Pre-Chorus: We prayed for love We prayed for love Chorus: We prayed for love Someone in the distance Who will listen Listen to our breaking hearts We prayed for love Someone in the distance Who will listen Listen to our breaking hearts Verse 2: The endless days of thunder Seemed to leave us her without a chance Feeling like a world around us Is falling down like an avalanche We look ahead you know our hearts Are gunna lead us through another fight The negative like string between us Strong in our desire Pre-Chorus: We prayed for love We prayed for love Chorus: We prayed for love Someone in the distance Who will listen Listen to our breaking hearts We prayed for love Someone in the distance Who will listen Listen to our breaking hearts Bridge: Wherever the road takes us The winds began to break up Just stay by my side Wherever the road takes us The winds began to break up Just stay by my side Chorus: We prayed for love Someone in the distance Who will listen Listen to our breaking hearts We prayed for love Someone in the distance Who will listen Listen to our breaking hearts Thank you Folks who have helped us through these hurdles of life. You most definitely know who you are. Our hearts beat endlessly for you, and with each pulse builds a closer connection between us all
