THANK YOU SUSAN DANCER FOR SENDING THIS EMAIL AND VIDEO...WE LOVE OUR CUSTOMERS!!! Hello Jeff- Please let me know that you got this. I have to tell you a little story. I live in the Bay City area, but had occasion to be over your way a couple of weeks before Christmas because my daughters car broke down there on her way between Galveston and here. She was quite upset over it being stranded and all. She had my 2 1/2 year old grandson with her at the time. Her name I Kelli and his is Ashton. Now you know mommas, we cant stand to see our babies hurting or upset, and Id been contemplating buying her a pair of Corral boots for Christmas anyway, and Id been in your store once or twice before, so I said, Kelli, lets just run over to Cattlemans and get you some new boots. No cowgirl was ever sad in new boots. I hadnt really decided I wanted to spend that money for sure, but I did know that itd make her feel a lot better, so I resigned to let go of it. What I did NOT anticipate was my grandson deciding HE needed new boots, too. Now Kelli had told me shed been in your store a week or two prior (I was trying to convince her she needed to buy her OWN new boots) and that Ashton had seen the little cowboy mannequin you have toward the back of the store. Ashton didnt speak much until recently. He had hearing/ear trouble and just all of a sudden, lately, started talking. But he pointed at than mannequin and said, That me mommy. I cowboy. Hed never shown such tendencies before. So, needless to say, we ended up in the childrens boot section as well and, no, he wouldnt settle for the cheapest ones (I didnt figure hed wear them much after that night) and then between he & your salesmen, the decision was made that he needed a new kids rope as well. (Grandmas have even less ability to say no than mommas) The $30 kids hat almost put me over the edge, cause I knew itd be smashed flat into the floorboard of one of our cars before I paid its credit card bill. $400 total. Yikes! But I was wrong. When Ashton got up the next morning, his first words were (yes, still in his PJS) Where my boots? then Where my hat. He quickly learned to put it on correctly by glancing inside to see what was front, what was back. So now, more than two months later, he still wears the hat and boots every day. Even if he stays in his pajamas. Even to daycare. Even with dress clothes. And shorts. Quite possibly the best money I ever spent. And last weekend I had a horse show (I show halter horses locally) and Ashton & Kelli came. Ashton was in his first horse show, lead-line, in his hat and boots. Your sales staff was wonderful We were there late during extended holiday hours and we were the only ones there. The boys showed Ashton how to sling the rope and instilled some kind of magical cowboy-to-cowboy instinct into the kid. A dear friend of mine put together the little video clip attached to this e-mail to document Ashtons journey into little cowboyhood. Your store and your people and your products have had a lasting reach into my family, and so I wanted you to know. Thank you, Susan Dancer
