“THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SUPPORTING THIS YEAR’S DANCE YOUR PINK OFF!” We want to thank every person who assisted, contributed, donated and prayed – whether big or small in our efforts to meet our $2000 event goal – making this another successful event for Breast Cancer Awareness. These monies will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” on Sunday, October 19 and we will proudly walk as “Line Dancers with a Purpose”. Even though we’ve met our goal, donations can still be made to sponsor our team. Here’s the team link - main.acsevents.org/goto/LineDancersWithAPurpose. Every donation counts! Each year we plan for our annual #DYPO event. Each year we don’t know what to expect or who will “pop-up” to attend but when our line dance family show up on the first Saturday of October, y’all turn RVA out! From the guest speakers down to packing up for the night, y’all show us appreciation, love & support and for that we are grateful. Now you know we have to thank a few folks! (lol) We extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the following folks: Chris Blues – As Ali James stated, “What DJ do you know plays for 12-hours? That’s a shift and a half!” Guest Speakers – Minister Gina W Cannon, Dr. Delores Whitaker & Mrs. Michelle Henderson – Your words left an impression that will always be embedded in our lives. Our Vendors – Traci Lynn Jewelry, Dot’s Custom Jewelry, Christopher Page Apparel and Croaker’s Spot Express Trinity Family Life Center – Thank you for allowing us to make TFLC our “home”. To our DMV Family – you know who you are – Thank you for lending them “extra hands”. You stepped in right on time and we love you for that. Tanya Thomas & Crystal Tinsley – Thank you Ladies for making those beautiful gift baskets. Brandon Worrell – Thank you for being a gracious host to our “pop-up” guests. (lol) Our Paparazzi - Thank to all who posted their pictures and videos to our event page. Dont forget to use #DYPO2014. That helps us out when searching Facebook. (lol) D&G Family – Y’all already know how we feel about you and the “unselfish” acts you exhibit each and every day for me & Da Mistah. Don’t ever change who we are as a “family”. You ALL are the best! Many thanks to all - If we have forgotten anyone, please charge it to our heads - not our hearts. Folks came from all over – Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware, DMV, Hampton Roads, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Richmond – of course. We danced. We laughed. We cried and connected through the unity prayer. We are not just line dancers. We are a “family”. Line dancing just brought us together for such a time as this. We love you all and you can’t do a thing about it but….. SAVE THE DATE – Saturday, October 3, 2015 for next year’s event! #DYPO2015 #DGFifthAnniversary Much love & respect….Ma Dukes & Da Mistah
